I felt my journal needed spicing up, so I searched DA for a suitable layout... Found none that would work for me. So I read a crapload of tutorials and tried to code it myself. After a gazillion of errors and "why-the-heck-isn't-this-%^&$%#-working" episodes I finally got it... I think.
I'm sooo proud of this, actually. I'm a complete moron when it comes to programming/coding of any kind. My personal website is still updated using a program that writes HTML for me. I find it fascinating... But unfortunately, I just don't have the time to educate myself properly. So this thing working is a big deal for me. In the words of a certain immortal movie character, "I finally built something that works!"
So I decided to share. Click "download" to get it. All the terms et al are in the instructions. Have fun!
It's extremely lovely looking, and while I would love to use it I hesitate too because it's your artwork. In the instructions does it mention how to make your own, or, if possible, could you make a tutorial on how to do this?
omg if I had not paid to have my journal made I would use this in a heart beat! My two favorite works of yours are used! What movie quote is that? lol have good Mothers Day.
AH HA. I was trying to place that. All I came up was Dick Van Dike's charater from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. But that didn;t seem right. Happy Mothers Day by the way!
It's very easy to put your own images in it. Just download the two images, open them (preferably in Photoshop), paste something of your own on top and save it that way. Changing the images won't affect anything else as long as you keep them the same size as the original images. If you want that "fade to black" thing on the bottom of the header, just draw a straight line at the bottom of your image with an airbrush set to black.
You do have to remember to update the links to the images in the code, and the names if you change them, otherwise it won't work.
